Costa Rica

Vogel twins travel

Costa Rica offers breathtaking natural beauty, from lush rainforests and stunning waterfalls to pristine beaches and vibrant wildlife. It's an adventure lover's paradise with activities like ziplining, surfing, and hiking. Plus, the country's strong commitment to sustainability and conservation makes it a top destination for eco-conscious travelers.

when we visited

The best time to visit Costa Rica is during the dry season, from December to April, when you can enjoy plenty of sunshine and outdoor activities. This period is ideal for exploring beaches, rainforests, and national parks without the interruption of heavy rains. However, we visited during the rainy season. From May to November offers lush landscapes and fewer tourists, making it a great time for a quieter, more budget-friendly trip.

what we packed

Pack light and breathable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, and sun protection. Additionally, pack a small first aid kit with essentials like medication and hand sanitizer. Feel free to check out our amazon storefront to see what we packed.

Booking

Whether you're a budget traveler or simply want to find the best deal on your flights, we highly recommend using Skyscanner to book your next trip. This site is an excellent tool for finding affordable flights as it searches hundreds of airlines, travel agents, and booking sites to find the best deals available.

how we got around

The best way to travel around Costa Rica is by rental car, providing the freedom to explore at your own pace and access remote areas. For those who prefer not to drive, the extensive network of public buses is a reliable and affordable option (which we did). Alternatively, domestic flights and shuttle services offer convenient transportation between major destinations, saving time on longer journeys.
